The swill passing for editorial writing these days is beyond belief. I specifically refer to ``Espy's ethics'' (Oct. 5) in which you take potshots at Mike Espy and President Clinton and Hillary Rodham-Clinton.
You should have praised the president for trying to hold his Cabinet to a higher standard of ethics than Congress holds itself. Instead, you pursued yet another round of sexist hate remarks and Democrat bashing.
So what if Ms. Rodham-Clinton made a profit on a commodities investment? Are you implying that if the Clintons made a profit on an investment, then surely it must be tainted?
What does this have to do with Mike Espy? And in what way does this create a ``more tolerant level'' of ethics for President Clinton?
This is yet another example of your sinister exploitation of what used to be a fine newspaper in order to promote a personal agenda of radical-right politics which borders on fascism and feeds on hate.
