Janes, Blechman, Woltz & Kelly in Newport appointed Mark A. Short and Irving B. Goldstein associates of its law firm.
Short is a recent graduate of the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.
Goldstein recently graduated from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond.
The law firm of Willcox & Savage in Norfolk appointed Brooke H. Wallace client services director. Wallace held a recruiting position with King & Spalding in Atlanta. The firm also promoted Joni C. Fitzgerald from recruiting coordinator to director of recruiting. MANUFACTURING
Patrick D. Mossman was named director of marketing and sales with American MicroTrace Corp. in Virginia Beach. He will be responsible for the sales force and marketing.
American is a manufacturer/distributor of trace minerals and micronutrients for animal feed, fertilizer and tecnhical applications.

Richard M. Bagley Jr. was promoted from a financial consultant to senior vice president/investment officer with Wheat First Butcher Singer in Hampton. Bagley has been with the brokerage firm since 1979.
