Bankruptcies filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Norfolk:

Joseph Kenneth Peele, trading as Shipman Carpet Dry Cleaners, and formerly trading as Best Answer Services, Best Teleservices and Secure A Call filed chapter 7 liquidation on Oct. 28. Assets and liabilities were not available.

Cindi's Boutique Ltd. filed chapter 7 liquidation on Nov. 1, with assets of $37,998.86 and liabilities of $87,986.77.

Nancy Harriet Spruill, antiques and collectibles sales, filed chapter 13 debt repayment plan on Nov. 2, with assets of $165,324.83 and liabilities of $182,855.52. CONTRACTS

Sentara Health System received a $51 million contract from the Department of Defense to provide medical care to military personnel, their dependents and retirees in Norfolk and Jacksonville, Fla. The NAVCARE contracts include yearly renewable options that run through 1999. Sentara has managed the Norfolk NAVCARE facility on Little Creek Road for the past five years.

The Defense Logistics Agency of the Department of Defense awarded Flight International in Newport News an into-plane fuel contract that commenced on Oct. 1 and will continue through March 31, 1995. The contract is to provide Jet A fuel to government operated aircraft which use the facilities at the Newport News/Williamsburg airport. The government estimated it will use approximately 212,000 gallons over the next 18 months.

American Systems Engineering Corp. in Virginia Beach received a $20 million three-year contract from the Naval Warfare Assessment Center in California to provide technical and engineering services to the measurement science directorate of NWAC.

American Systems also received a five-year $15 million contract to provide engineering and technical services to the Naval Command, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center

Bay Gulf Trading Co. Ltd. in Norfolk received a $554,760 contract from the Navy to provide wastewater collection, treatment and disposal services for the Naval Weapons Station in New Jersey.

Qualicon Corp. in Chesapeake received a $544,535 contract from the Navy for erosion control phase I at the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown.

T.J. Crooks Jr. received a $1.8 million contract from the Navy for repairs to the supply pier CAD A at the Cheatham Annex in Williamsburg.

VIRTEXCO Corp. in Norfolk received a $577,782 contract from the Navy for repairs to the heating and air conditioning systems in buildings 1346 and 1351 at the Naval Weapons System in Yorktown.

D.K. Nunnally Co. in Newport News received a $1.6 million contract from the Navy for repairs and renovations to building 3504 at the Naval Amphibious school and auditorium.

Blueridge General Inc. in Norfolk received a $1.3 million contract from the Navy for repairs and alterations to the Galley building 520 at Oceana in Virginia Beach.

Abante Corp. in Norfolk received a $909,000 contract from the Navy for repairs to the supply warehouse building 720 at Oceana in Virginia Beach.

Suburban Grading & Utilities Inc. in Norfolk received a $2.4 million contract from the city of Virginia Beach for street improvements on 15th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 23rd, and 24th streets from Atlantic to Pacific Avenue and connector parks at 18th and 20th streets, plus miscellaneous work in the resort area.

Conrad Brothers Inc. in Chesapeake received a $2.7 million contract from the city of Virginia Beach for resort streetscape improvements, section 8, phase 2.

C&E Inc. in Virginia Beach received a $1.9 million contract from the city of Chesapeake for a pumping station telemetry system.

C.W. Brinkley Inc. in Suffolk received a $679,500 contract from NASA for a combined loads test system test chamber pit RELOCATIONS

Ocheltree Slizewski, certified public accountants, moved its office from Monticello Avenue to 300 West Freemason Street in Norfolk.

The Image Agency, an image consulting service, has moved from Virginia Beach Boulevard to 612 Nevan Road in the Hilltop area of Virginia Beach.
