LaRue F. Preston, 96, of the 800 block of Gates Ave., died Nov. 5, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Preston retired from the Norfolk Naval Base after many years of service. She was a native of North Tazewell, Va. She was a member of Christ and Saint Luke's Episcopal Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include one nephew, Francis D. Lazenby of Lutz, Fla.; two nieces, Mrs. Charles F. Glass of Tampa, Fla., and Edna L. Oliver of Coolidge, Ga., as well as several stepchildren.
There will be a private service held at a later date. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
