VOTING WEATHER

Nature will cast a fair weather ballot on Tuesday.

Election Day is expected to be sunny and mild in South Hampton Roads with a high in the upper 60s. Folks on the Peninsula could see a high around 70.

All of Virginia is expected to enjoy unseasonably pleasant weather. Richmond's forecast is for a sunny and mild day with a high near 70. Roanoke's forecast is similar with a high in the upper 60s.

Election Day weather can be a factor in close political races. Candidates with solid backing can count on those voters making it to the polls no matter what, but bad weather can cut into the vote counts of candidates with only lukewarm voter support. by CNB
