Elizabeth Compton Wood, 88, of Marian Manor, a retired school teacher, died Nov. 7, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Wood was born in Virginia and was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Annapolis, Md. She was always involved in garden club activities and the teaching of nature to children.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph E.M. Wood; two daughters, Elizabeth Wood Stewart of Virginia Beach and Sarah Wood Tator of Salinas, Calif.; one granddaughter; and three grandsons.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements.
