Susie Whitley Guyton, 82, died Monday, Nov. 7, 1994.
Mrs. Guyton was a native of Southampton County and was the daughter of the late Frank C. and Felecia O'Berry Whitley. She was the widow of William Murray Guyton Jr. She was a retired telephone operator for Continental Telephone Co. and was a member of Mount Horeb United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Louise W. Floyd of Franklin, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Guyton was predeceased by two sisters, Lizzie W. Britton and Annie W. Rountry; three brothers, Harry Whitley, Woodrow Whitley and Bertelle Whitley; and one niece, Marlene W. Bridges.
At Mrs. Guyton's request, her body was cremated and a private service will be held. Memorials may be made to Mount Horeb United Methodist Church or to Sunbeam Baptist Church. Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
