Allen Smith, 76, of the 2400 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., died Nov. 6, 1994.
Mr. Smith was born in Norfolk County, Va., and was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Norfolk, and also served on the Usher board. He retired from the City of Norfolk as a custodian.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beulah H. Smith of Norfolk; two daughters, Miss Sharon Smith King of Chesapeake and Mrs. Arlene Smith Woodley of Richmond, Va.; three brothers, Edward Smith of Norfolk, Calvin Bass of Norfolk and Leroy Smith of California; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Keith Cook, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Norfolk, on Friday at noon. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Friday. T.E. Cooke-Twilight Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
