Elbert ``Eddie'' Lee Heckstall Sr., 62, of the 2700 block of Liberia Drive, died Nov. 5, 1994, in DePaul Medical Center.
Mr. Heckstall was born in Edenton, N.C., and was retired from auto upholstery at Maynards. He was a member of Zion Light Church of Christ in Norfolk. His hobbies included visiting the Big Top Flea Market in Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Roanna Heckstall; four daughters, Anita Washington, Pamela Johnson, Wonda Heckstall, all of Lancaster, Pa., and Faye Brown of Norfolk; four sons, Eric, Darrell, Elbert Heckstall Jr., all of Lancaster, and Keyante Goodman of Norfolk; three sisters, Annie Parker, Gertrude Barrington and Beulah Foster, all of Norfolk; two brothers, Robert Heckstall and Billy Heckstall of Norfolk; 22 grandchildren; six stepchildren, Valerie Stepney, Carlton Stepney, Alfonzo Stepney, Melvene Olds, Bobby Spencer, all of Norfolk, Darnell Spencer of Chesapeake; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Zion Light Church of Christ, Norfolk, by Elder William Best. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Family and friends will be at 973 H Ave., Norfolk, at 12:15 p.m. for the processional to the church.
