Theda Jerie Childress, born March 3, 1918, in Lookout, Ky., passed away on Nov. 5, 1994, in Eugene, Ore.
Theda was a longtime resident of Norfolk, Va., Pompano Beach, Fla., and Oakridge, Ore. She was a 50-year member of the Women of the Moose.
She survived two husbands, Brady Atkins and Herman Childress, both of Norfolk, and her sister, Sally Boatwright of Reno, Nev.
She is survived by brothers, Olds, Robert and Kelly Hylton, all of California; a sister, Nethel Emily of Florida; her daughters, Jo Nell Stermer of Boca Raton, Fla., and Vivian Downs of Springfield, Ore.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
