Bruce Ernell Brown, 44, of the 2600 block of Grandy Ave., died in his residence Friday, Nov. 4, 1994.
He was the son of the late James and Katie Mae Brown Handy and the husband of Ethel Hill Brown of Oceanside, Calif. Mr. Brown was retired from 22 years in the U.S. Marine Corps with the rank of staff sergeant.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Karen Denise Brown, and a son, James S. Brown, both of Oceanside, Calif.; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Raymond Vaughn; daughter-in-law, Yolanda R. Brown; grandmother, Rosa L. Wilson; aunts, Belle Mabry and Joan Wilson; uncle, Dennis A. Mabry; and loving cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Twiford's Funeral Home, Ghent Chapel, Norfolk, at 11 a.m. Thursday with military honors accorded. Burial will be at a later date.
