Maxine Elizabeth Clarke, 54, of the 400 block of W. Ocean View Ave., died Nov. 8, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Clarke was born in Norfolk and was a Methodist. She was employed with Chez-Madeleine European Hair Styling and was a former legal secretary. She was a member of Virginia Chapter (NU)22, Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Blair Clarke of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two sons, Patrick Clarke and Joseph Clarke, both of Virginia Beach; her father, Jesse Hunter Smith of Norfolk; a brother, A.L. ``Buddy'' Smith of Virginia Beach; and two nephews, Brandon Smith of Apex, N.C. and Cleteus Smith of Atlanta.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
