Mobil Corporation, based in Fairfax, said it has launched a new European natural gas group named MEGAS (Mobil European Gas). Based in The Hague, Netherlands, MEGAS will expand all aspects of Mobil's natural gas business in Europe. Mobil has a strong presence in exploration and production of natural gas offshore in the U.K. and Norway, and onshore in the Netherlands and Germany. With access to large and long-term supplies of natural gas, Mobil is already a major natural-gas marketer in the U.K. and Germany. Worldwide, Mobil is one of the largest producers of natural gas and liquefied natural gas. MEGAS's permanent office will be established shortly in The Hague. by CNB
