A fisherman who suffered a possible broken hip was airlifted from his fishing boat by a Coast Guard helicopter on Wednesday, 45 miles east of the Outer Banks.
Frank Disignano, 28, who works aboard the fishing vessel Northern Voyager out of Boston, apparently slipped on a cargo of fish, said the Coast Guard, whose 5th District is based in Portsmouth.
He was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and admitted in stable condition. by CNB
