It is hard to understand how a newspaper that designates itself the newspaper for this region could fail to make an endorsement in the U.S. Senate race.
Taking a ``no endorsement'' position told people that it was unimportant for them to vote and encouraged complacency. That marks you as part of the problem, not part of the solution.
There is little on the agenda of this state or this country that you find it unnecessary to become involved in. I find it inconceivable that you chose to make no endorsement.
