Gary A. Bailey, 58, of the 1700 block of Star Lake Drive, died Nov. 9, 1994, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mr. Bailey was born in Elmira, N.Y., and was a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was a civil service employee with the P.W.C. Department at Fort Story and was retired as a first class petty officer of the U.S. Navy after 20 years. He was a Vietnam veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy L. Bailey; two sons, Dennis M. Bailey of Huntsville, Ala. and Joseph C. Bailey of Virginia Beach; a sister, Judy Bradshaw of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and a brother, David M. Bailey of Williamsport, Pa.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Thalia Lynn Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert L. Crute. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
