Shaine Whitney Jackson, 15, of the 2600 block of Elon Drive, died Monday.
Shaine, a baptised Christian, was born in Baton Rouge, La. He had attended Great Neck Middle School and was recently enrolled in the Center For Effective Learning.
Survivors include his father, Bruce W. Jackson of Virginia Beach; his mother, Evelyn Melinda Ritter of Knoxville, Tenn.; one sister, Rebekah Ritter, and two brothers, Josiah Ritter and Jacob Ritter, all of Knoxville; his maternal grandfather, Joe Moreau of Baton Rouge, La.; and his paternal grandmother, Louise Jackson, also of Baton Rouge.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Kings Grant Baptist Church by the Rev. W. Jerry Holcomb. Burial will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Shaine will be greatly missed by family and friends.
