The following schedules will be in effect to observe Veterans
Day, which is Friday:
Closings
Banks and courts will be closed, as will local, federal and state
offices. Schools will be closed. No regular postal service.
Garbage collection
Suffolk, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach will have regular
collection. Chesapeake collection will be on Saturday; Norfolk's
will be Monday.
Recycling collection
Portsmouth and Virginia Beach will have regular collection. No
collection in Chesapeake or Norfolk; collection will resume on
Friday, Nov. 18.
ABC stores
Will be open.
Tidewater Regional Transit
Will follow a regular Friday schedule.
