THOMAS G. DOSS SR.

Thomas George Doss, Sr., 68, of Alpine Street went home to be with the Lord Nov. 10, 1994. He died in Norfolk.

He was captain of the VAL-KAT charter fishing boat since 1973 and had operated Charter Fishing Boats for 32 years. He was retired from civil service after 29 years and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was born in Norfolk.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra L. Doss and Cynthia D. Doss, both of Norfolk; three sons, Thomas George Doss, Jr., of Appomattox, Va., Wayne A. Doss of Florida and Mark D. Doss of Norfolk; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma and LeRoy James of Virginia Beach and Mary and John Loudon of Norfolk; a brother, Arthur J. Doss of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; and many friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hyde Park Freewill Baptist Church by the Rev. Terry Beck. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
