Effie Story Turner, 95, of the 5100 block of Allyne Road, died Nov. 10, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Turner was born in Waverly, Va. She was the oldest member of Burrows Memorial Baptist Church, Norfolk, and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of Oddfellows and Rebecca Lodge. She was the widow of Percy T. Turner.
Survivors include a daughter, Doris Bruns of Chesapeake; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Don Harris. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
