The Suffolk High School Class of 1944 celebrated its 50th class
reunion Oct. 28 at the Holiday Inn in Suffolk. Of the 58 seniors who
graduated, 38 attended, including Virginia Jones Horton of Suffolk,
above left, Mary Lou Bagley Shine of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and
Charlotte Andrews McCutcheon of Richmond. At right, identical twins
Betty Burchett Almarode of Tallahassee, Fla., and Jane Burchett
Wommack of Suffolk also joined in the festivities.
