NELLIE L. MORRIS

Nellie Lewis Morris, 82, died Nov. 11, 1994.

Mrs. Morris was a native of Baltimore, Md. She had been employed in the supervisor's office of the Portsmouth public school system, was a member of Port Norfolk Baptist Church in Portsmouth, the Truth Seekers Sunday School class, Portsmouth Woman's Club, Scottish Rite Ladies, Cedarettes, Port Norfolk Garden Club, Virginia Chapter of the U.S. Lighthouse Society and a volunteer of the Pink Ladies at Maryview Hospital. She was the widow of Ralph C. Morris.

Survivors include three daughters, June M. Baker of Alexandria, Va., Fay M. Parker of Portsmouth and Gloria M. Creecy of Chesapeake; a stepdaughter, Linda M. Edwards of Marietta, Ga.; a stepson, Jim Morris of Virginia Beach; a sister, Ellen B. Wilson of Santa Rosa, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Richard Browder. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, is handling arrangements. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, (NU)20 The Koger Center Suite 233, Norfolk, VA 23502.
