Josephine Roberts, 77, of the 2800 block of Candlewood Circle, died Nov. 12, 1994 in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mrs. Roberts was born in Ahoskie, N.C. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Portsmouth, and the widow of Arcelius Roberts.
Survivors include a daughter, Lelia Cooper of Chesapeake; a sister, Loretta Sumler of Baltimore, Md.; a brother, Thurman Doughtie of Portsmouth; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Olleo Cromwell. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family will receive friends at the residence.
