Samuel Leon ``Sam'' Jones, 58, of the 2400 block of Copeland Road died Nov. 12, 1994 in his home.
Mr. Jones was born in Conway, N.C. He was a sheet finisher for Union Camp for 37 years.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Wyatt Jones (known by Butch); a stepdaughter, Teresa B. Froemel of Suffolk and husband Richard Froemel; two sons, Tony L. Jones of Seaboard, N.C. and wife Donna Jones, and Mike W. Jones of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; a sister, Acree J. Scott of Emporia, Va.; a grandson; three granddaughters; family pet Puffy; and a very devoted friend Toney Chaney.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Cecil B. Deel. Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorials to Oncology Special Care, 1900 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434, Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23434.
