JAMES W. TAYLOR

James William ``Mr. Buck'' Taylor of the 1000 block of Kenton Ave., a retired sanitation engineer, died Nov. 10, 1994, in a local hospital.

Mr. Taylor was retired from the city of Norfolk and a member of Mason Memorial Church, Norfolk, and the deacon and usher boards.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Taylor; four daughters, Laura Willoughby and Lucinda Taylor of Norfolk, Juanita Freeman of Newark, N.J., and Rosa Lee Taylor of Baltimore, Md.; three stepdaughters, Hattie M. Cook, Gladys Williams and Margaret Johnson, all of Norfolk; three sons, Thomas Taylor of Richmond, Edward Taylor of Newark, N.J., and Bernard Taylor of Irvington, N.J.; a stepson, William Pope of Irvington, N.J.; two sisters, Liza Uzzle and Geneva Taylor and a brother, Charlie Taylor, all of Norfolk; 38 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Refuge C.O.G.I.C., Chesapeake, by Elder Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. A wake service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hale Funeral Home. Family and friends will assemble at the residence at noon Tuesday. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
