LCDR. Irving B. Clayton, Jr. USN (Ret.), 72, a retired aviator, died Nov. 3, 1994, in Grapevine, Texas.
Mr. Clayton was born in Norfolk. He retired from the Navy after 24 years and was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Margaret Clayton; two daughters, Patti Campbell of Georgia and Carol A. Clayton of Southlake, Texas; two sons, Irving B. Clayton III of San Diego, Calif., and Robert J. Clayton of Gaithersburg, Md.; a sister, Grace Nolan of Norfolk; and two grandchildren, Bryan Buschner of Traci Buschner.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by Lt. Cdr. Bennie L. Kingwood. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
