Bessie Harris, 72, of the 300 block of Washington St., a loving wife and mother, died Nov. 13, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Harris was born in Portsmouth. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas E. Harris; a daughter, Brenda H. Meeks of Chesapeake; her mother, Ava E. Hudgins of Portsmouth; a granddaughter, Crystal R. Meeks of Chesapeake; and grandson, Shane H. Meeks of Chesapeake.
The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family will receive friends at the residence following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
