Lavinia Allen Semple, 85, of the 3600 block of Bertha St., a homemaker, died Nov. 12, 1994, in DePaul Hospital.
Mrs. Semple was born in DuPage County, Ill. She was the widow of Charles L. Semple Sr.
Survivors include a son, Charles L. Semple Jr., and daughter-in-law, Julie, of Norfolk; a sister, Kathryn Terry of Effingham, Ill.; and two granddaughters, Emily Marie Semple of Virginia Beach and Anne Marie Semple of Portsmouth.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Fred Braswell. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will be at the funeral home today to receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
