WALTER J. TOMCANY SR.

Walter Joseph Tomcany Sr., 73, of the 3000 block of Mayon Drive, an electrician, died Nov. 14, 1994, in Chesapeake.

Mr. Tomcany was born in Chicago and was employed with Smith & Keene Electrical Co. He also worked for Bemis Brothers Bag Co. as a painter for 20 years and served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Squires Tomcany; two daughters, Luane T. Clemmer of Chesapeake and Teresa J. Gray of North Augusta, S.C.; three sons, Ermon K. Tomcany and John K. Tomcany, both of Chesapeake, and Walter J. Tomcany Jr. of Virginia Beach; and nine grand-children.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, by the Rev. Bob Brooks. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, and at the residence at all other times.
