Lindsey L. Harris-Rodgers III, 16, of the 2600 block of Ash St., a junior at Churchland High School, died Nov. 13, 1994, in Maryview Hospital.
He was born in Norfolk and was a member of New First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Portsmouth. He was a Churchland High School athlete on the varsity football and basketball teams.
Survivors include his mother, Emily V. Harris of Portsmouth; his father, Leroy L. Rodgers Jr. of Portsmouth; six sisters, Pamela Y. Harris, Shannon D. Harris, Michelle Y. Williams and Kim Rodgers, all of Portsmouth, Tara Boddie and Towana Thompson, both of Virginia Beach; a brother, Ivan L. Harris of Portsmouth; maternal grandparent, Lear F. Harris of Portsmouth; paternal grandparent, Mamie L. Rodgers of Portsmouth; paternal great-grandmother, Mary Seaborn of Portsmouth; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in New First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Portsmouth, by the Rev. T.M. Steele. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin at noon Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Friday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
