Alexander Salmon, 70, of the 1600 block of Ronald Drive, died Nov. 15, 1994, in Hillhaven-Nansemond Nursing Center, Suffolk.
Mr. Salmon was born in Isle of Wight County, Va., and was the widower of Mildred Copeland Salmon. He was a retired foreman with Planters and was retired owner and operator of Salmon's Upholstery Shop. He was a Baptist and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Nettie R. Richards Salmon and Alexander Salmon Sr.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, by the Rev. Russell O. Leonard. The family will receive friends at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times at the residence. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Oncology Unit of Obici Hospital, 1900 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434.
