SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

The crimes listed here were reported to the Suffolk Police Department. Because they are initial reports, they are allegations only and may or may not have resulted in criminal charges.

DISTRICT A

Grand larceny: 100 block Seabreeze Lane, Nov. 6, someone removed many household items from a home while there to do repairs.

Residential breaking and entering: 6000 College Drive, Nov. 7, someone entered a home and took a 27-inch Zenith television, a compact component system and several pieces of photography equipment.

Tampering with a vehicle: 6000 block Camellia Drive, Nov. 8, a man was said to have pulled spark plug wires and wires from under dashboard of a 1986 gray Chevrolet Celebrity.

DISTRICT B

Petty larceny: 2400 block Godwin Blvd., Nov. 1, a man said someone broke the vent window of a 1979 red and white GMC Truck and took a Sears AM/FM cassette stereo.

Worthless check: 3000 block Godwin Blvd., Nov. 3, a man wrote a check for $360 that was returned for insufficient funds.

Petty larceny: 6000 block Godwin Blvd., Nov. 4, someone pumped $11.63 worth of gas and drove away without paying.

Breaking and entering: 4000 block Lake Prince Drive, Nov. 5, a man said another man entered his home through a back door and removed a VCR.

Attempted breaking and entering of business: 2700 block Godwin Blvd., Nov. 6, someone tried to get into the National Guard Armory by breaking a window.

Motor vehicle theft: QVC Drive, Nov. 7, someone removed a red 1983 Nissan Sentra from the parking lot.

DISTRICT C

Petty larceny: 1200 block North Main St., Nov. 1, two employees ate garden salads without paying for them.

Petty larceny: 800 block West Washington St., someone pumped $3.52 worth of gas but paid only for $3.

Grand larceny: address not listed, Nov. 1, someone removed a tan and white chow from her rope at the rear of the home.

Possession of cocaine: 1400 block North Main St., Nov. 2, a female was arrested for shoplifting and dropped a metal smoking device coated with cocaine, in the police vehicle.

Petty larceny: 200 block West Constance Road, Nov. 2, someone removed a female's tan wallet valued at $12 and containing $2 from the home.

Lost or stolen plate: 500 block Battery Ave., someone took a license plate with the number ZTM 3847 from a gray 1979 Chrysler Lebaron.

Unauthorized use of automobile: 800 block Brook Ave., Nov. 3, a man said another borrowed his 1981 Ford pickup and did not return it.

Petty Larceny: 200 block Lee St., Nov. 4, someone entered the home and took $50 from a woman's wallet.

Vandalism: 100 block South Saratoga St., Nov. 3, someone broke the driver's vent window of a white 1992 Dodge van resulting in $50 damage.

Petty larceny: 1400 North Main St., Nov. 3, a female took two packages of meat and one bottle of wine without paying.

Hit and run, property: 1800 block North Main St., Nov. 3, a charcoal 1991 Infiniti in the Obici Hospital parking lot was struck in the right front fender by someone driving a blue vehicle.

Assault and battery: 200 block Pine St., Nov. 3, a female was hit by another in the temple during an argument.

Lost or stolen wallet: 700 block Kilby Ave., Nov. 4, a male cannot find his wallet containing personal papers and about $180.

Breaking and entering: 1400 block North Main St., Nov. 5, someone entered a shed and took a 2-wheel teaching chart valued at $175, 175 used tennis balls valued at $44, a Dunlap racket valued at $75, an AM/FM stereo recorder valued at $35 and other items.

Stolen license plate: 400 block Nevada St., Nov. 5, someone stole a license plate with the number MQO 622.

Unauthorized use of vehicle: 500 block Second Ave., Nov. 5, a male borrowed a female's red 1989 Hyundai and did not return it.

Residential breaking and entering: 200 block Pine St., Nov. 6, someone entered the home and took a stereo with two speakers, a microwave oven and three nylon jackets.

Petty larceny: 100 block West Washington St., Nov. 7, someone in a brown pickup truck took several donations which had been left at the Salvation Army Thrift Store.

Petty larceny: 300 block Boat St., Nov. 7, someone entered a vehicle and removed a city decal with the number 31978.

DISTRICT D

Grand larceny auto: 1500 block Nansemond Parkway, Nov. 1, someone took a blue 1992 Ford T-Bird with license number AAK 2800.

Petty larceny: 2400 block Godwin Blvd., Nov. 1, someone removed an AM/FM cassette radio and the state inspection sticker number E9610704 from a 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit.

Shooting into occupied vehicle: no address listed, Nov. 1, a man fired a gun into a school bus with 43 children in it, shattering a window.

Residential breaking and entering: 1300 block Sierra Drive, Nov. 2, someone broke a window pane at the rear of the home, disarmed the alarm system, and removed a Taurus .357 Magnum, a .22 rifle, a Radio Shack Duophone and a Casio television.

Residential breaking and entering: 400 block Central Ave., someone entered through an unlocked back window and took two end tables and a bed.

Business breaking and entering: 100 block Hall Ave., Nov. 2, someone broke the north side window causing an estimated $00 damage and removing about $14 in miscellaneous items.

Vandalism: 600 block Sunset Ave., Nov. 3, a male threw two bricks through a vehicle window.

Recovered stolen motor vehicle: 200 block County St., Nov. 3, a 1986 red Ford Aerostar Van stolen from Portsmouth was abandoned in Suffolk.

Armed robbery: 1600 block Freeney Ave., Nov. 3, a pizza delivery man said he was robbed by two males.

Petty larceny: 1100 block Cogic Square, Nov. 4, a man stole $70 from a woman's locked file cabinet.

Petty larceny: 400 block Cullodan St., Nov. 4, someone stole a 26-inch Rollmaster black and chrome bicycle.

Assault and battery: Hall Avenue and Cullodan Street, Nov. 3, a female said she was hit in the face by two roommates, then transported to Obici Hospital.

Hit and run: 2600 block East Washington St., Nov. 3, someone forced another vehicle off the road resulting in damage to the windshield and front right fender.

Abandoned vehicle: 200 block North 5th St., Nov. 3, someone abandoned a silver 1990 Chevrolet Storm with license plate number DXI 503.

Petty larceny: 100 block Tynes St., Nov. 3, someone took a license plate with the number ZVD 1321.

Vandalism: 600 block Sunset Ave., Nov. 3, a male threw two bricks through the windows of a vehicle and was arrested.

Lost property: 1200 block Lake Kennedy Drive, Nov. 4, a 9mm pistol placed on the hood of a pickup truck fell off while the vehicle was in transit.

Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute: County and Bidwell streets, Nov. 4, a male was arrested after an inventory of a vehicle revealed $500 worth of cocaine.

Habitual offender, County and Bidwell streets, Nov. 4, a male was arrested after being stopped for a traffic offense and a check with DMV records showed he had been declared a habitual offender in February 1987.

Breaking and entering: 1200 Lakeland Trail, Nov. 4, unknown if anything is missing as resident is in hospital.

Grand larceny: 1200 block Blythewood Lane, Nov. 5, someone entered a 1982 Chevrolet van and took a Bobbie power amplifier, a large sonic speaker, a black gym bag containing a cordless microphone, all valued at $1,000.

Lost or stolen plate: 200 block North 4th St., Nov. 8, someone likely removed plates from a black Chevrolet 350 pickup truck with the number FWI 693.

Petty larceny: 400 block Carolina Road, Nov. 8, someone removed a black gym bag with a pair of cleats and a baseball from a 1988 Ford Ranger.

Business breaking and entering: 100 block East Washington St., Nov. 8, someone broke the padlocks on the entrance door and took a 10-speed red bicycle, a child's Husky bike and a tool box with tools.

DISTRICT E

Residential breaking and entering, 6400 Quaker Drive, Nov. 2, someone entered the home through an unlocked garage door and removed $140 from a wallet in the bedroom.

Strong-Arm Robbery: no address listed, Nov. 1, a male robbed another in his home, taking $30 by force.

DISTRICT F

Grand larceny: 1300 Manning Road, Nov. 4, someone cut the lock on a storage trailer and removed a full set of tree climbing paraphernalia with a value of $500.

Garage breaking and entering: no address listed, Nov. 1, a man entered an unlocked door and took an ignition box valued at $180.

Petty larceny: no address listed, Nov. 1, a man pumped about $13 worth of gas and left without paying.
