George Woodrow Hufton, 77, of Benefit Road, died Monday, Nov. 14, 1994, at his residence.
Mr. Hufton was the son of the late George A. and Missouri Biggs Hufton. He was retired with 34 years of service at Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church, Methodist Men and Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy C. Hufton; three sons, Larry Hufton of Pueblo, Colo., Jerry Hufton of Chesapeake, Garry Hufton of Norma, N.J.; a sister, Lydia Epps of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Copeland officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Good Hope United Methodist Church, 1633 Benefit Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23322. Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, is in charge of arrangements.
