CHARLES R. WALLACE JR.

Charles Reynolds Wallace Jr., 70, of the 1000 block of Mayfield Ave., died Nov. 16, 1994, in Chesapeake.

He was a native of Norfolk and was a retired sergeant from the U.S. Air Force. He had retired in 1965 after 23 years. He was also a retired security guard from C & P Telephone Co. He was the widower of Virginia H. Wallace. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Norfolk Lodge (NU)39, the American Legion Post (NU)99, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by one daughter, Deborah M. Hill of Chesapeake; two sons, Charles E. Wallace and Thomas L. Wallace, both of Chesapeake; three sisters, Dorothy W. Powell of Norfolk, Ruth W. Ballew of Jacksonville, Fla., and Pearl W. Jackson of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren.

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Robin E. Waddell. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

He was a beloved father and a beloved grandfather.
