Jasper L. ``Jerry'' Davis Sr., 59, of the 800 block of David Court, died Nov. 16, 1994, at home.
Mr. Davis was born in Littleton, N.C., and was a supervisor with Mary Jane Bakery, where he was employed for 39 years. He was a former member and deacon of First Baptist Church Gilmerton in Chesapeake.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie R. Davis; three daughters, Sherry Graves, Pat Williams and Wanda Parker, all of Chesapeake; three sons, Phillip Moore of Nolanville, Texas, the Rev. Sheldon Davis Sr., and Jasper L. Davis Jr., both of Chesapeake; four sisters, Dorothy Hawkins and Mary Lou Harris, both of Baltimore, Christine Brown and Helen Solomon of Norristown, Pa.; six brothers, Willie Davis of Newport News, Roy Davis, Donald Davis, George Davis, all of Norfolk, Jesse Ray Davis of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Leon Davis of Baltimore; 12 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday by the Rev. Sheldon Davis Sr. in Little Zion Baptist Church, Dr. S.D. Sheppard Sr., Pastor. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Pretlow & Sons Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
