WILLIE G. VALENTINE

Willie George ``Uncle Will'' Valentine of the 5400 block of Shell Road, died of natural causes Nov. 14, 1994, at his home.

Mr. Valentine was born in South Hill, Va., son of the late Rosa Gregory Valentine and John Valentine. He was a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church, LaCross, Va., and was the widower of Jeanie Ward Valentine. He retired from civil service after 32 years and was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include two daughters, Lou Addie Bell Foreman of Chesapeake and Eola Valentine Foreman of Norfolk; a stepdaughter, Arletha Berry of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Hattie Roscoe of Long Island, N.Y.; 34 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren; 54 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, stepgrandchildren, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Morning Star Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. C.H. Williams. Burial will be in Quantico National Cemetery. The family will gather at his home, 5432 Shell Road, Virginia Beach. E.A. Hughes Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
