Louise Woodhouse Story, 80, widow of William J. Story Jr. and a native of Portsmouth, died Nov. 15, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
She was a member of Sandbridge Community Chapel, Virginia Beach; member of Sandbridge Civic League; charter member of Suburban Christian Church; member of Great Bridge Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; and member of the Friends of the Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Story was graduated as Valedictorian from Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth and attended the old Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary.
Survivors include her daughter, Chandler Story Dennis of Virginia Beach; her son, William J. Story III of Waverly, Va.; her daughter-in-law, Diane T. Story of Waverly; and her sister, Georgiana C. Woodhouse of Portsmouth.
Mrs. Story is also survived by five grandsons, William J. Story IV and his wife, Kim H. Story, Warren Hatcher Story and his wife, Susan Story, all of Southampton County, Christopher Yeardley Dennis of Virginia Beach, John Chandler Dennis and his wife, Susanne Dennis of Richmond, Va., David Boyette Dennis Jr. and his wife, Kim White Dennis of Durango, Colo. Other survivors include two great-granddaughters, Kathleen Diane Story and Jessica Emilie Story and a niece, Clyde Virginia Rawls.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 3 p.m. in Sandbridge Community Chapel, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Ed Martin. The family will be at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, Chesapeake, today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Sandbridge Community Chapel. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Fellowship Hall of the church after the memorial service.
