Police said Thursday they have charged a 27-year-old man with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.
Detective T.E. Lewis said Michael W. Walker, of the 400 block of Courtview Drive, was charged with four counts of crimes against nature and one count of cruelty to children for assaults that allegedly began in April 1993 and continued more than a year. Police said Walker offered the girl employment at his home, but they did not say what employment. The girl is not being identified because she is a sexual assault victim.
