For the second straight year, Regent University has won the American Bar Association's regional negotiation competition for law students.
The winning team members, third-year law students Peter Pierce and Steven Sullivan, tackled the theme of ``Contracting Across National Borders - International Small Business Ventures'' earlier this month. Eleven law schools participated, including George Washington University and Washington and Lee University.
Regent will compete in the national competition in Miami in February.
``The program of instruction in negotiations at Regent University emphasizes the highest ethics and morals,'' said Gene Elser, a Regent law professor who was the team's adviser.
``Our success in the regional competition shows one doesn't have to compromise ethics to win.'' by CNB
