Linda Marie Whitlock, 41, passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 1994, in a Roanoke hospital.
Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia M. Whitlock of Salem, Va.; one son, Joseph A. Whitlock of Salem; father and mother, Lewis and Estelle Powers of Check, Va.; three sisters, Jeannie R. Davenport of Check, Va., Mary L. Williams of Collierville, Tenn., Patricia Sutphin of Bassett, Va; two brothers, Marvin L. Powers of McGaheysville, Va. and Timothy E. Powers of Check, Va.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Floyd Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jospeh L. Womack and the Rev. Alton Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Restvale Cemetery, Copper Hill. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Maberry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Floyd County Rescue Squad.
