Russell H. ``Babe'' Meers, 75, of 56 Hickory Trail, Kitty Hawk, N.C., a former Major League Baseball pitcher, died Wednesday afternoon at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness.
He was the husband of Dorothy Wright Meers, who died in September. They had been married 49 years.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 1994, 10 a.m. at the Duck United Methodist Church in Duck, N.C. 27949. Memorial contributions may be sent to the church.
