Ruth Breathwaite Peele of the 700 block of Newtown Road, died Nov. 17, 1994.
Mrs. Peele was born in Princess Anne County. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, the Nurses Unit, Missionary Choir, Senior Choir, Beautification Club, Missionary Society and Building Fund. She was also a member of United Order of Tents Silver Leaf (NU)354 and Order of Eastern Star St. Alethia (NU)83.
Survivors include her husband, Ollie Peele; four daughters, Betty Gadson, Inez James, both of Virginia Beach, Linda Vernon of Plantation, Fla., and Sylvia Nance of Clinton, Md.; three brothers, Albert Breathwaite and Curtis Breathwaite, both of Virginia Beach, and Rodney Breathwaite of Chesapeake; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. C.K. Jones. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
