Melvina Sanidas Stone, 89, of the 5200 block of Gale Drive, a homemaker, died Nov. 20, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Stone was born in Winfall, N.C. She was the widow of Theodore William Sanidas and Ransom S. Stone. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Norfolk. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen S. Vatisek.
Survivors include three sons, William T. Sanidas of Baton Rouge, La., Chris B. Sanidas of Virginia Beach and Nick A. Sanidas of Hertford, N.C.; a brother, Mathis Jordan of Smithfield; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity Baptist Church, Norfolk, by Dr. John Mason and Dr. Walker Stockburger. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Jordan Family Cemetery, Ryland, N.C. The family will receive friends in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
