ROBERT C. CALLAHAN SR.

Robert Claude Callahan, Sr., 66, of the 2500 block of Las Corrales Court, died Nov. 19, 1994, in his home in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Callahan was born in Norfolk. He was a senior account agent and honor ring member with Allstate Insurance Company. He was a contract employee of Allstate since 1966. He was named a Quality Agent for 1993-94, which was the most recent of many honors from Allstate Insurance Company. He was a member of Bayside Masonic Lodge (NU)218 AF&AM. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Clifford Callahan.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara W. Callahan and by his loving children including a daughter, Debra Joyce Callahan of Conway, Ark.; a stepdaughter, Karen W. DeMartino of Virginia Beach; three sons, Robert C. Callahan, Jr. and Ricky Curtis Callahan, both of Virginia Beach and Randy Carl Callahan of Los Angeles, Calif.; a stepson, Corporal Robert Charles Welzant, USMC of Camp Lejeune, N.C.; three sisters, Dorothy Virginia Schultz of Edenton, N.C., Mildred Jane Peele of Norfolk and Frances Elizabeth Bacskay of Chesapeake; and six grandchildren, many nieces and nephews as well as several grand nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Charles Moore. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be accorded at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Princess Anne Courthouse Rescue Squad.

He will be sorely missed by many friends and business associates.
