Dolores June Huether Tatum, a retired nurse, went to be with the Lord the 18th of November 1994, in the 71st year of her life.
Mrs. Tatum was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and lived in Virginia Beach for the past 45 years. She was a charter member of Glengariff Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tatum is survived by her husband, Harry C. Tatum Jr. and two sons, William J. and Harry C. Tatum III, both of Virginia Beach; and two daughters, Dolores Irene Whitbeck of Chesapeake and Sharon Gail Sebastian of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandson; three sisters, Lillian Bailey of Exmore, Va., Evelyn Joynes of Onancock, Va., and Laverne Parks of Belle Haven, Va.; and a brother Robert R. Huether of Exmore, Va. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.G. and Irene Huether of Belle Haven, Va., and a brother, Charles Huether of Newport News.
The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Robert S. Guelich and Rev. Charles L. Wood at two p.m. on Monday, November 21st, at Glengariff Baptist Church, 6235 Azalea Garden Road, Norfolk, Virginia. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, handling arrangements.
