Hazel Okie Day Mathews, 67, of the 4200 block of Twin Pines Road, died Monday, Nov. 21, 1994, at her residence.
Mrs. Mathews, a native of Isle of Wight, was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church, Carrollton.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Hope Baucom, and a grandson, Bobby Joe Baucom Jr., both of Portsmouth; two sisters, Sybil D. Baldwin of Carrollton and Ola Gay D. Jordan of Smithfield; and a brother, King David Day of Carrollton.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Day Family Cemetery, Carrollton, with the Rev. Bill Fulcher officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence, 4221 Twin Pines Road, Portsmouth. Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, is handling arrangements.
