Annie Harris Johnson, 88, of the 900 block of Round Bay Road, a retired self-employed seamstress, died Nov. 20, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Norfolk. She was the widow of Harold Johnson and was a member of St. Paul C.M.E. Church. She was a member of the Missionary Circle 2 and the Stewardship Board 1. She was also a member of the Communal Club. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary D. Smith and Armstead Smith.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Harris Polk of Detroit, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Beatrice H. Nobles of Norfolk and Louise H. Hardy of Chesapeake; two stepsons, Emerson Harris and Elmer Harris, both of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren; one nephew, John C. ``Jack'' Smith of Chesapeake; one grandnephew, John C. Smith Jr. of Chesapeake; a son-in-law, Silas Polk; and a dear friend, Bessie Omohundro.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Paul C.M.E., 310 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., by the Rev. T.R. McKenney. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Family will assemble at her residence.
