Dorothy Gower Brown, 75, of the 400 block of Farless Road, a homemaker, died Nov. 21, 1994, in Pinewood Manor Rest Home, Ahoskie.
Mrs. Brown was born in Hertford County, N.C., and was the widow of Bennie Brown. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Merry Hill.
Survivors include two daughters, Priscilla Lee of Merry Hill and Sandra Campbell of Raleigh; a son, Courtney Reid; two stepsons, Ben Brown of Woodbridge, Va. and Jimmy Brown of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mary Davidson of Raleigh and Ruth Chosy of Fuquay Varina; a brother, Lonnie Gower of Raleigh; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Jeff Brown. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
