Union Pacific Railroad, CSX Corp. and the Ministry of Railways of the People's Republic of China have signed an agreement aimed at bolstering rail transportation in China. Areas to be addressed through cooperative plans and recommendations will include: transition to a market economy system; improvements in production, profitability and service quality; establishing an intermodal service network; training; new technology; management skills and marketing.
