Susie Wilson Grook, 82, of the 5900 block of Selger Drive, Norfolk, a homemaker, died Nov. 22, 1994, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Mrs. Grook was a native of Norfolk and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She previously worked for W.G. Swartz and Miller and Rhoads.
Mrs. Grook was the widow of Julius Denny Grook and was predeceased by her brother, Vernon Wilson. Survivors include a son, John F. Grook and a daughter-in-law, Kathy W. Grook of Chesapeake; a brother, Robert G. Wilson and a sister-in-law, Louise Wilson of Norfolk; four grandchildren, Heather Grook, Holly Grook, Robbie McCarty and Morgan Grook, all of Chesapeake; nephews, R. Gary Wilson of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., Robert Craig of Abingdon, Va., Floyd Craig of Chattanooga, Tenn.; several other nephews and a niece. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be remembered by her grandchildren as ``Nanny.''
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 26, 1994, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Donald H. Traylor in Loving Funeral Home Chapel, Churchland. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at 2825 Greenview Road, Chesapeake.
